The 30th Conference of Gaming Regulators European Forum (GREF) will be held in Cyprus
The 30th Conference of Gaming Regulators European Forum (GREF) will be held in Cyprus following a unanimous decision of its Council. The Conference will take place in Limassol, Cyprus between the 21st and 23rd of May 2019. The subject for GREF 2019 will be “Exploring the boundaries between gambling and financial regulation”. In choosing Cyprus, GREF made a very important move that brings Cyprus forward at the forefront of the developments regarding regulation of Gaming and Casino. It also recognises the great work done by Cyprus Gaming and Casino Supervision Commission and the progress achieved in such a short time, building bridges with international organisations and reaching to the point of hosting a conference of this importance at a European level.
Since 1989, the European Gaming Regulators Forum The Forum has two main objectives: to provide a forum in which European gaming regulators can meet, exchange views and information and discuss policy on gaming matters; and on special occasions and with the agreement of participants represent the different views of European Gaming Regulators and also provide a central point of contact for enquiries directed at them from authorities or related organizations in Europe and elsewhere.
2019 being a landmark year for GREF as it marks 30 years for the Forum now discussing concepts that did not exist before. These year’s conference topics to be welcomed by Deputy Minister of Tourism Mr Savvas Perdios will include:
