Delivery amphibious of wheelchairs
The wheelchairs were placed on Mackenzie beach next to the lifeguard tower
Two amphibious wheelchairs of the “Mobi – Chair” type, which allow easy access to the sea for people with reduced mobility, were delivered on Thursday April 11, 2024 to the Mackenzie beach. The new equipment, sponsored by Windstorm Trading & Investments Limited, a privately held investment company based in Larnaka, was officially handed over by the delegates of Windstorm to the Mayor of Larnaka, Mr. Andreas Vyras.
The wheelchairs were placed on Mackenzie beach next to the lifeguard tower.
The Mayor of Larnaka described this donation as very important, as one of the main goals of the Members of the Municipal Council is to have a city accessible to all our fellow citizens. “Today it is inconceivable that a city does not provide its citizens, without exception, with all the facilities to take part in daily activities such as accessing the beach,” Mr. Andreas Vyras, Mayor of Larnaka noted.
The Mayor thanked the representatives of Windstorm for this important action that supports the work of the Larnaka Municipality.
