It is located at Kalograia village in the Keryneia district. It is Vyzantine octactonal type church, which was built by the end of the 12th century.
Extremely beutyfull frescos decorate the walls dating back to the 12th and 15th centuries. The heads of the two angels at the central arch of the church were destroyed by turks. Parts of the frescos were recovered in Munich and were returned to Cyprus in December 1997.
Other parts were found in the possesion of the turkish antiquities dealer Aydin Dikmen. Other portable icons and frescos from the church have been found in Holland.
The Holy Monastery holds its annual celebretion on November 8.
