The Pierides – Tornarites Palaeontology Museum in Larnaka, is located at the colonial style building of the Customs Warehouse, in Europe Square.
It is the only museum of its kind in Cyprus and hosts a unique collection of fossils, spanning a period of 500 million years.
Among the exhibits are rare local bones of pygmy elephants and hippos, who died in 10,000 BC.
