The Steni Museum of Village Life Circa 1800 to 1945
This Museum is dedicated to all those men, women and children who lived in Steni village during the difficult and challenging years from the day of its creation to the end of the Second World War.
During that period life for everyone was a struggle for survival, for many reasons, the ghosts of hunger, illness and death were never far away.
Despite these hardships they demonstrated great tenacity and ingenuity allowing the village to prosper and develop to where it is today.
We are grateful for all they have achieved and dedicate this Museum, in one of the most beautiful villages in Cyprus, to their memory.
Most of the items in this museum have been collected or donated from in and around Steni starting in the early 1980s and continuing to the present.
