Riverside Museum Glasgow, Scotland
If you find yourself in Glasgow, make sure you pay a visit to the city’s latest cultural landmark: the Riverside Transport Museum – designed by Zaha Hadid – on the banks of the River Clyde.
Dedicated to the world of transport, it features a unique collection including more than 3.000 exhibits in over 150 interactive displays.
Visitors have a chance to see examples of transportation ranging from skateboards to train engines, children’s wagons, and all sorts of bicycles for all ages.
They also have the chance to take a walk down a faithful reconstruction of a street dating from 1900, drive a train, or put out a fire in an apartment building. Having begun in 2007, the project was completed by autumn 2010.
